Remote Controlled Cars

Lately I have bought Keith a remote control car and Yes, I know that it is for 3 years and above I would be the one controlling the car and let him chase it or we would do something really bad and use it to scare and chase after the cats. Keith sure liked to play with the remote although he is unable to control the car, I guess he liked to use it to go after cats.

Seeing the fun that Keith and I have had with the remote controlled car, Aunty May's husband, Edward went to buy another set. Sadly he had bought the car of the same frequency and there is no way that we can change the wave and Yong Jin kept wanting to control our car because it is a more powerful and fully charged too. So you've got Yong Jin and Keith (me) trying to control the same car because his parents forgot those rechargeable batteries. Now we cannot play both cars together because the both remotes can control the same car. In fact this has caused our "zero" accident car crashed into the drain a couple times.... eeeewwwww! I know.

From this picture you can see that Keith is rotating the steering control control while Yong Jin is the one pressing on the accelerator moving forward/reverse.


After a while, fun became fear when Yong Jin turned the remote into a imaginary gun. We were all scared by his pose but Keith kept wanting to get close because the car is behind Yong Jin

Keith's Birthday Celebration

Today Keith is officially one year old but we have celebrated Keith's 1st Birthday earlier on Tuesday, since that day is our day off. We went to Hau Kee Restaurant in Taman Cheras. We decided to go for a small gathering of family members because we didn't have much time to do any preparation, even deciding which restaurant to go to took Elaine until Monday to decide.

For Keith's Birthday cake, We ordered 2 sets of cakes from


One of it was a Tiramisu cake (for the adults) and a set of Toddler Train only (for the kids)


Keith was already wielding the plastic knife as we were getting the stuffs ready.


When we lighted up the candle and sing him his Birthday Song, he seems to be mesmerized by the lighted candle and totally forgot the clap his hands. I have to hold onto his hand because he tried to grab the cake.


His PoPo was so anxious that right after the song she handed Elaine the knife and told her to cut it out, even before we blow the candle. I guess everyone was very excited.


As for the kids' cake, the adults seems to be the one whom were excited about it, as seen in the picture below, look at Auntie May, Yong Jin and PoPo


At the end of the day, I realized that everyone felt uneasy because we all know someone was missing. If only Nicole was around she would surely be very happy to have her own carriage cake of the toddler train.

PoPo's Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated Keith's po po's birthday. Keith and Yong Jin was the ones really enjoying themselves because we adults were the ones getting busy chasing Yong Jin or carrying Keith because they wouldn't sit still.

Before we went to the restaurant, we went to IKEA and I snapped this picture after the boys wrestled themselves on the sofa.


And this is the picture of Keith trying out the karaoke set, which he did a bit of baby babble and shouts before he tries to gobble the mic.

Swimming Again!!!

This post is gonna take me quite a while to complete so bear with me a bit, I have been working on this post since last Tuesday night. I hope you all would understand that recently we were rather short-staffed in the restaurant. Thanks to Jazzmint for featuring my restaurant again in her blog

Last Tuesday evening we went swimming again but this time there were more attendees and we really have a very great time. In the afternoon it rained heavily, so heavy that one of my car door was leaking (rubber seal problem!) so we delayed going to the pool until past 6.30pm. Actually we had both the pools to ourselves :)

Keith, Nicole, Elaine & I were there a little later than Yong Jin & Co. (Yong Jin, Aunt May & her husband, Uncle Jason & his girlfriend and PohPoh) and they were already so very busy with Yong Jin jumping in and out of the pool.

But he didn't seems to like his float


But rather run around without it


Guess he have more movement freedom without it :)


And the main reason of being late is because Keith's float went missing. Keith & Co. went to the swimming pool first while I search on for the float and I was rather upset because it is impossible that the float went missing as I just saw it on the hanger that morning. In the end I found it at the ground floor, the reason for that is either my maid didn't close the window and the wind blew it out (which to me is rather impossible as that window is where the wind blows in) or the maid threw it down on purpose (perhaps to take it out because Elaine scolded her earlier on) but let's forget about her....!

By the time I reach the pool Keith was already crying his lungs out because his mummy forgot to dip him slowly in the water and would only stop when I carried him. We tried to lower him slowly onto the float but he wasn't happy about it at all...... Guess he got scared by his forgetful mum earlier.


I sat by the baby pool and let him kick the water first then slowly lower him a bit by bit until he is use to the temperature.

We played a bit in the baby pool but he doesn't seem comfortable and Nicole was more like disturbing him than playing with him because she was throwing and splashing water on all of us.
Even Nicole couldn't stay on the duck float too long either and look at her splashing at people.

Then he became really bored


As Yong Jin already moved to the adult pool with his dad, he still maintain is jumping into the pool with his mum's arms in the baby pool and his dad's in the adult pool.
So I moved Keith to the adult pool and got myself wet. Keith was very happy to be in the bigger pool despite that his legs were unable to touch the ground.






I even let him try the water without the float and he liked it even more!!!


When we all wanted to leave the pool as it turns dark, someone throw tantrum and cried because he still wanted to swim.

Yong Jin's 2nd Birthday

Since Uncle Jason was not in Malaysia on the second, Aunty May decided to delay the birthday dinner for a week. We went to the place in Cheras named Unique Fisherman (I think) Honestly the food wasn't up to the standard that I have expected and since I am not doing a food review, I'll totally skip on the food matter.

When we (Elaine, Keith and I) arrived we were already the last to reach there because traffic was really jammed up. Uncle Jason and Aunty May was already halfway thru ordering food and I started snapping pictures as soon as I hand over Keith to Elaine. The 2 year old birthday boy was being a koala bear and only wanted to hug his two favourite tree people, his po-po (maternal grandma) and jiu-jiu (his maternal uncle, Jason). The place that he will keep asking you to go to is the aquariums or pool


As for Keith, look at what was he doing when he found Nicole's teddy lying on the back of the car while Elaine was talking on the phone. As we sat down on the table, he got himself very busy by trying to snatch whatever he can off the table or would be whining and wriggling around to make Elaine or I to stand up and walk around. We also realise that he seems to like to scratch his ears, eventhough it is clean. For his meal we gave him some baby biscuits and tofu to keep him contained. After that I had to put him in the stroller and push him to the furniture shops nearby. He started whining again as soon as we re-enter the restaurant

Keith is sick **updated**

Today Keith is down with cough, running nose and slight fever! He is sick for the first time since birth and today he is exactly a week short for being 7 months old.
It is the sick season recently because of the weather and everyone around us are all sick, even mummy fell sick too. She was down with running nose on Friday and she tried taking ample of Vitamin C but in the end she went to the doctor on Sunday, but by night she have recovered from it already. Although she have avoided Keith when she was sick but I guess Keith have got it anyway.

This morning he was rather demanding because he began demanding the person carrying him to move here and there all the time. He would not be too happy unless I carry him (the reason I didn't get the opportunity to snap some pics lo) He was being very whiny and wouldn't even want his mum carrying him :(

But we went to the studio to take some pictures of Keith


and later his cousin, Yong Jin went too.

The reason we took their pictures are to process their passport.

**Update**
In the evening I went back home to take his birth cert to photocopy and as soon as I reach home I heard him crying. When he saw me, he kept pushing all others away and cried even louder and would only calm down when I carry him. He would keep arching himself towards the door too, hinting to me that he wanna go "kai-kai"

I stayed in for a while chatting with grandma, whom was informing me his condition and he be came more impatient and started whining again. As soon as I got out of the door he became all quiet and alert too. As soon as he board the car he became excited and very happy..... halfway thru driving we were all shocked because we heard him baby talking to himself :P
I know that most of my relatives would say that he got that from me!!

While in the restaurant he would keep whining to go out to look at his favourite thingy...... cars passing by!!!!

He is really very tired but he just won't want to sleep because he is very excited to go "kai-kai"!!!

Funny Sleeping Habit (part II)

I have mentioned of Keith's funny sleeping habit, he needs to cover his head/eyes while he sleeps. I did manage to capture a few more of his and his cousins too, Nicole and Yong Jin.

Covering with the hanky, sometimes even to the extend of his whole face too.

But at times he would make do of whatever he find comfortable, like our comforter and the ear of his soft toy cat


Then we have Nicole whom would always hold on to her teddies when she is going to sleep. As soon as she falls asleep she would be swimming around and everything would be thrown everywhere


As for Yong Jin, he would tire himself (and it will take 3 adults to tire him) and fall asleep with the help of the corner of his sleeping pillow stuck to his nose.

Buffet at Jogoya

As promised, I have managed to post up this one after spending quite a while. I hope you all would understand my situation. I write my posts whenever I can spare the time while working in the restaurant, which is very tough because I am the one who makes the drinks and laptop & water doesn't go along very well.

You must be thinking that I would be showing you with a lot of food pictures, if you are then you have my apologies. That night was a rather eventful night for all of us. As too many things have happened but I will just briefly narrate the pictures.

After we were guided to our table, which was the same table that we sat the last time, all the adults, including Elaine, got themselves rather busy locating the food, with all the clips taken too. I was left to care for the 2 kids, Yong Jin and Keith

Keith was relaxing on the baby carrier


And Yong Jin got busy imitating a drummer with the chopsticks


The first adults to come back to the table was Aunty May and her husband, of course they started eating too and Yong Jin stopped drumming as well :P


Then Elaine came back with some food too and she insisted she wanted to try putting Keith on the baby chair.


In the end she decided to let Keith sit on the baby carrier and she went to get more stuffs off the buffet. Next to come back to the table was Grandma, who got herself a plate full of scallops (those with shells on)


Last but not least came Uncle Jason and his girlfriend (wife to-be soon)


After they finished their first round of meal, they took turns to carry Keith, giving Elaine and I some opportunity to gobble down some of the goodies :P


At that point of time, Yong Jin was chowing down some fruits already. I think his parents are already on their 3rd round :P


Then suddenly Keith whined and after a few minutes he vomitted. Funny thing was he was smiling while Elaine was busy changing his clothes.


As a complimentary we were given a birthday cake but was informed twice that we are not allowed to take it back.


Then comes the birthday song, with Yong Jin getting all excited and clapping along because that is his favourite song


Before the candle is blown, someone took a cherry out, which he aimed at for quite a long time.


Ummm..... Tasty!!!!


This is how the cake looked like after having the cherry taken. I wonder why the birthday boy(uncle) doesn't want to blow the candle leh?


Now everyone wanted to take more pictures with the cake. It is so hard to get everyone to co-operate to look at the camera all at the same time :(


Like Keith whom suddenly burst out his cries


And on the other side Yong Jin was playing fish with his mummy with his grandma carrying him and holding his hands too.


Another look at the cake, see how short the candle have gotten and still the birthday boy is yet to blow it. Btw, did u notice that 3 cherries are missing already.


When he settled down and was about to blow his candle, we realise that we were not given a knife to cut the cake :P


But anyway he went ahead to blow his candle but not without any help. In fact it is not one whom helped but two.


After blowing the cake, nobody seem interested in eating the cake as there is much more better selection on the buffet. Even Keith wanted some from the buffet. Look how he kept staring at the cakes


He even tried to grab the cakes too


Upon returning to the table, this is what I saw happened to the birthday cake.

After eating such a BIG cake, he did some exercises and showed us some of his kungfu moves

Last but not least, this is the picture of the mess we left. Of course there would be more if the waitstaff have not clear the plates as we finished our food

Sadly I realised that I was the only one without a picture taken that night :(
