Swimming Suit???!

Elaine and I were wondering, should we be buying Keith some swimming trunks/suit? According to the astrologers, Keith is supposed to stay off water, very much like his mum and dad!!! Yup, both of us were not too good swimmers ourselves :(

Last Tuesday we did some window shopping and Elaine found a small-sized swimming brief. We let Keith lie on a styrofoam swimming assist board and we just put the brief on top of him to see if the size is right. In the meantime, he got himself busy trying to tear off the price display.




Elaine asked me if we should let Keith learn to swim. I suggest that we should let Keith try it out for himself if he wanted to go in the baby pool or not, since there is one available within our condominium, which Nicole loved going to. And since we pay for the maintenance!!! we might as well make full use of the facility!!!! Hated it when non-residents (they are not even friends of any resident, perhaps they were ex-residents) just comes in to use the swimming pool

Tentang "Tiga Huruf P"

Saya nak cakap sikit pasal "Tiga Huruf P" jugak. Dah lama saya tak kerap pigi "Tiga Huruf P" untuk cari duit la. Walaupun kekadang nampak manyak peluang tapi kebanyakan saya tak kualify untuk ambik la, jadi saya sudah manyak frust la dan masuk pulak yang lain jalan la. Hari ini pulak saya masuk dan terkejut kerana "Tiga Huruf P" sudah boleh ambik 3 peluang dan ternampak manyak peluang untuk ambik pulak.... tetapi kena cari post untuk sisip tengah "Tiga Huruf P" punya la.

Yang lagi teruk adalah PU2B sudah luluskan blog saya!!!! Hahaha..... harap-harap saya tidak akan buat blog saya penuh dengan post yang tidak berkenaan.

Cari sikit makan ma!!! Harap bertimbang rasa la!!! Apa mau bikin semua barang mau naik harga tapi gaji sama jugak!

Sleeping Out

Lately it is getting harder to get Keith to sleep at home because he always wants to play and attention. He is easily being disturbed of his sleep at the slightlest sound. As soon as he finds out that Elaine and I are at home he would want us to carry him and not wanna sleep. I guess he is afraid that we would go out and leave him at home. (Seems like he wanna go kai-kai)

Yesterday he slept soundly on Elaine's chest after we went to Popular to get a baby care books for Elaine and some alphabet reading books for Keith. On the second trip to buy my sis's return bus ticket, he fell asleep as soon as we got into the car. Last night not only did he slept throughout the journey, he even slept through the noisy pasar malam, even when we walk by those CD peddlers with their music blasting away!!!! On Monday when I took grandma and Nicole for the doctor's visit, he easily fell asleep on grandma's chest when I took them to the restaurant.

Keith is 7 months old

Well today marks the day he was born 7 months ago. Indeed he have developed his own patterns and style within this time.

He likes to

• command people with his screams and shout, which will either subsides if no one is around or will becomes his cries if he is not carried.
• would act as a remote when you pick him up. He would face a particular direction if he wanted you to move in that direction. He would lean forward if you do not move and would laugh when you do.
• smiles at you, especially when you are scolding him :P
• play with Nicole, a small and simple gesture of hers is enough to make him smile and laugh.
• look at cars moving on the streets, he seems rather interested in cars.
• to turn round and round on the bed.
• to grab everything and for now he is especially interested in the camera.
• to take pictures, rather co-operative when I am taking his pictures, unless when he is in a really bad mood!
• to do acrobatic acts, by licking and biting on his toes.
  

He is beginning to

• move (swimming like motion) when he turned around. He is yet unable to crawl la but I guess if this goes on he will very soon.
• demand things and command things to be done his way.
  
• have 4 teeth but the 2 top ones are rather out of place (He already have 2 bottom central incisor but the funny thing is his top 2 are his left central incisor and his left lateral incisor, instead of 2 central incisor!!!)

He dislikes

• being scolded, even when an adult, close to him, is scolding another child and not him! I guess he felt threatened.
• being left alone in a room.
• putting him down on the bed, unless you play with him or let him play with your fingers. (Given the opportunity he will bite on them of course)
  

I can't really finish this up but I guess I have pretty much said what I have observed so far.

Length: 66cm
Head: 42cm

Two more down!!!!

While Keith is recovering, Nicole and Grandma was down with the similar sickness yesterday. Grandma was very reluctant to see the doctor so I have no choice other than giving her a bottle of Vitamin C. The only ones whom have not have it is Grandma's maid and myself, but I am already starting to get sore throat (only when I get up in the morning)

I wonder how much longer will this be passing around in the family! My MIL was really scared of getting it because she immediately decline to help me to drive Grandma and Nicole to see the doctor. But anyway my last call to Grandma, she sounded much better already, but I wonder if she did take any of the Vitamins I have given her.

Keith has recovered 90%

Right now he is almost fully recovered but still bothered with his phlegm and occasional cough to clear the phlegm. He doesn't seems to be as excited as before when he sees me, probably I am not taking him out for his occasional walk.

Whenever I carry him he would lean himself towards the door as usual but today he added verbal warnings too. When we walk towards the door he would be all excited and even smiles but as soon as you turn your around, he would whine and even wail his cry out loud :P

Since Keith is almost recovered, I took him and Nicole out for a walk in the garden and I found this abandoned children playground and let Nicole play with it and also snapped some pictures of her hugging Keith
(I might wanna raise it to the attention of the management to repair and maintain it)


By the way, Nicole almost launched Keith down the slider, but we were careful and watchful when snapping these pics so nothing happened. Nicole is always very excited when I allowed her to hug Keith without assistance from us.

Recovering on the 5th day

Yesterday halfway thru working I went back home in the evening to get our bridal photos
for my BIL to make some comparisons with my SIL's and brochures, in preparation of his. Upon reaching home I found Keith in his better composure, lying on the matress and playing with grandma. As soon as he sees me, he started whining already..... it was so bad that he woke up Nicole whom was sleeping nearby. I carried him around the house while searching for my 2 albums.
Just before I leave home, I passed him back to grandma and managed to snap these pictures of him whining and struggling too


Today he is only bothered by an occasional cough which is still filled with quite a lot of phlegm. I think he is really tired and is still feeling not so well after the sickness because he hardly smile that much today. What surprises us is that he knows to spits the phlegms out.

Keith is sick for the fourth day

I am really not in the mood to snap any pictures because Keith's condition seems to have slightly worsen. We were all really troubled by his resistance in taking his medicine, we needed 3 people just to let him take his medicine. One to hold his hands, another to swing the rattle and hold the handphone (which will play the animated MV of Twinkle, twinkle little star and the third person to feed him with a spoon. He would be wailing and crying, which really breaks our heart seeing him in such pain.

Since last night he is starting to sneeze again and by this morning his running nose is back :( As his condition seems worsen, I find him whinier than before. Whenever I pick him up, he will give me the signs that he wanted to get out of the main door and go "kai-kai" but we can't do that because if we do I don't think his condition would improve.

The funny thing is whenever we are trying to give Keith his medicine, Nicole would come over and say, "Feed Nicole, Nicole take medicine..... Ah!!!" and opens her mouth wide!!! She seems to like taking medicina a lot, be it the paed's medicine or the herbal ones..... she likes them all (so unlike her mum!!!) But Keith is so like his mum, disliking medicine.

Keith is starting to show recovery for the third day

This morning Keith is showing more recovery progress (and less tired/groggy) with the medicine given by the 2nd paed. He have not have any bowel movement since last night, which is a dramatic improvement since he soiled 3 pants yesterday (even with his diapers on!) His running nose seems to have dried up and his temperature is normal. Currently he is still bothered by his occasional coughs and still is as whiny....... He kept whining for me to carry him and was not too happy whenever I passed him to Mummy or Grandma.

It really hurts Elaine and I to hear you were whining and wailing when we got out of the door :(

Keith is sick for the second day

His condition seems to have gotten worse today. Although yesterday he was only bothered by slight cough and occasional running nose, today he has fever and diarrhea added to his sickness. In the evening, Elaine and I decided to take him to see another paed and the doctor found out that his throat has swollen and red. He prescribed 4 bottles of medicine to Keith.

Our next problem was Keith was not so willing to take his medicine with the syringe. He even threw up after taking his medicine (given by the 1st paed) so right now we are giving it to him by spoon (but got to use distractions)

We only hope his condition would be better but it has really hurt our heart to see it turn worse today.

Keith is sick **updated**

Today Keith is down with cough, running nose and slight fever! He is sick for the first time since birth and today he is exactly a week short for being 7 months old.
It is the sick season recently because of the weather and everyone around us are all sick, even mummy fell sick too. She was down with running nose on Friday and she tried taking ample of Vitamin C but in the end she went to the doctor on Sunday, but by night she have recovered from it already. Although she have avoided Keith when she was sick but I guess Keith have got it anyway.

This morning he was rather demanding because he began demanding the person carrying him to move here and there all the time. He would not be too happy unless I carry him (the reason I didn't get the opportunity to snap some pics lo) He was being very whiny and wouldn't even want his mum carrying him :(

But we went to the studio to take some pictures of Keith


and later his cousin, Yong Jin went too.

**Update**
In the evening I went back home to take his birth cert to photocopy and as soon as I reach home I heard him crying. When he saw me, he kept pushing all others away and cried even louder and would only calm down when I carry him. He would keep arching himself towards the door too, hinting to me that he wanna go "kai-kai"

I stayed in for a while chatting with grandma, whom was informing me his condition and he be came more impatient and started whining again. As soon as I got out of the door he became all quiet and alert too. As soon as he board the car he became excited and very happy..... halfway thru driving we were all shocked because we heard him baby talking to himself :P
I know that most of my relatives would say that he got that from me!!

While in the restaurant he would keep whining to go out to look at his favourite thingy...... cars passing by!!!!

He is really very tired but he just won't want to sleep because he is very excited to go "kai-kai"!!!

Keith and his cap

Once in a while, we wanted to let Keith have a bit different look by adding on a cap. Problem is he cannot put it on unless he is in a very cool place because he doesn't like feeling the heat at all (Very much like his maternal uncle Jason and Me, dislike getting sweaty or being in hot places)

Elaine and her family feels that he looks quite handsome ok with the cap on (maybe he doen't look bald with the cap) but I get quite a few comments that he looked rather girly cute.

Keith's Bite Time

Grandma have been the one who was feeding Keith solids most of the time. Elaine and I only got to do it on our day off. But recently we got to do it a little more often since Keith is spending more time with us in the restaurant.

Aunty May gave us some biscuits, that Yong Jin have been taking, for Keith to try.


Grandma informed us that he would wanna have his bottle of milk after his solid feedings

It is a norm that we were advised to let the lil' one have a bottle of milk before their solid feeding but seems like Keith is the other way around...... even after his solid feeding he can still finish his normal 4.5oz bottle of milk.

MBf Got 5 Again???!!!!

I've got some great news to share with you all here :)

I am in the running for the 37" LCD TV again this month, this month is the last 100 to be won. This time I am not in it alone, Elaine's BIL (Keith's Yee Cheong) is also in the running too. We both got our 3rd "5" on the night of 8th Sept. Will be keeping our fingers crossed and the announcement will only be out on the 10th Oct.

He have applied his card especially for this TV and he got his card on late August. So far I think he have spent more RM5,000 to get his three "5"s, while I got it totally on luck.

Outing in Genting

I am really sorry that I have to delay my posts recently because grandma, whom have returned from Penang on Friday, have to go back to Penang to attend her MIL's funeral. So lately Elaine and I have to care for Keith while working.

Last Tuesday we went up to Genting for a buffet dinner and we all had a rather enjoyable time.









Since the pictures are arrange according to the sequence it was taken, I'll let you all be the judge to the answer. I'll also try to find more time to post more picture we took that day.

Make a Guess

Make a guess why our boy is in this pose.

1. Is he gonna pull that bamboo up and do some kungfu stunts?
2. He is gonna be a monkey and start climbing?
3. He is gonna be a panda and start chewing?
4. He just wanna be playful and grab things?

The Walker Pusher

Whenever we put Keith on the walker, Nicole would always try to stand behind him pushing and pulling him. I guess she learned that from us because we did push Keith away from us so that he would learn to walk towards us. As we called out for Keith to walk towards us, Nicole will run behind him and push him towards us. Now how are we gonna teach Keith when we have a busybody driver leh? Luckily Keith is able to walk forward now :)





Lately Keith have been without Grandma and Nicole because they are back in Penang for grandma's checkup. They have gone back with my sis on Sunday and would be back probably by this Friday. We are informed that Grandma is not doing so well in her physical tests, probably it is caused by the stress Nicole is giving her, Nicole kept waking up crying for no reason!

Keith's Favourite Time

Keith seems to be exceptionally happy whenever it is his bathing time. He would start squealing happily whenever we start to undress him.

He will start to protest by making unhappy sounds if we take too long to shampoo his head because he only likes to play with the water in the tub (since birth). He would always try to make splashes by hitting his hands or kicking his legs.

He even knew when to close his eyes too. Although I know that it is a natural reflex but I am glad that he knew how to hold it shut tightly.


He is still kicking and playing even after we wrapped him in a towel.


As a norm, after dressing him, he would be looking forward for his bottle of milk and would take a nap after that. Not on Tuesdays though, because that is the day he would be looking forward for "kai-kai" after his milk.
