Yong Jin's 2nd Birthday

Since Uncle Jason was not in Malaysia on the second, Aunty May decided to delay the birthday dinner for a week. We went to the place in Cheras named Unique Fisherman (I think) Honestly the food wasn't up to the standard that I have expected and since I am not doing a food review, I'll totally skip on the food matter.

When we (Elaine, Keith and I) arrived we were already the last to reach there because traffic was really jammed up. Uncle Jason and Aunty May was already halfway thru ordering food and I started snapping pictures as soon as I hand over Keith to Elaine. The 2 year old birthday boy was being a koala bear and only wanted to hug his two favourite tree people, his po-po (maternal grandma) and jiu-jiu (his maternal uncle, Jason). The place that he will keep asking you to go to is the aquariums or pool

As for Keith, look at what was he doing when he found Nicole's teddy lying on the back of the car while Elaine was talking on the phone. As we sat down on the table, he got himself very busy by trying to snatch whatever he can off the table or would be whining and wriggling around to make Elaine or I to stand up and walk around. We also realise that he seems to like to scratch his ears, eventhough it is clean. For his meal we gave him some baby biscuits and tofu to keep him contained. After that I had to put him in the stroller and push him to the furniture shops nearby. He started whining again as soon as we re-enter the restaurant

Tag: Four Me

This is the first time I am doing a TAG. Got tagged by duckie
Duckie, I am really sorry to take so long to do this TAG. (Can you imagine he had tagged me on the 25 July!) My sincerest apologies because I really do not know what to do with TAGs :P

Four jobs I have had in my life: (I never wanted to do this because I have never felt that there is anything eventful about it)

  1. Clerk: (Penang) My first full time job. During the bullish market and then all the stocks are in papers and was involved with the starting of the computerizing of the stock exchange delivery and CDS.
  2. Sales Representative: (Penang) Actually I got started as a recond photostat machine salesman for a very short time and immediately got another position in a MNC marketing their food products. Great place to work got involved in many functions and travel. I got to learn how to cook too. Every month I have to travel to KL for our meetings.
  3. Trade Marketing Representative: (KL)This is another sort of an upgrade job for me but this company is part of the one selling those sin stuff but we were never forced to consume it. This company was a really great place to work, especially when you have many great bosses. Sadly many chose to leave the company, as the company is consolidating and they decided to leave despite getting promotions after the take over.
  4. Current job: (KL)Making drinks in a restaurant. Just a fatman behind the counter making drinks. Very boring job but get to spend time online without having to fear that the boss would yell at me because I am a 20% partner (Sadly that is the proportion of share in the restaurant that I have!)
Four of my favourite foods: (I am stuck again, I can easily name you what I dislike!)
  1. Shabu-shabu : Although I hate the boss but I really like having a shabu-shabu meal, especially those tasty Angus Beef or Kobe Beef. I really missed the organic Udon, Kimchi, squid nuggets and Beef Tendon Balls. But the ones I misses most are the staffs!!!
  2. JD Baby Back Ribs : by TGI Friday but not available locally la coz not halal ma :P
  3. Yam Rice : Yup anything that would go along with it, like Bak Kut Teh or Mixed Pork Soup.
  4. Hainanese Chicken Rice : Got to have those original ones since I have a Hainanese wife (Elaine is pure Hainanese like her father (from Johor) and mother (from Tampin) because their parents were from the same town in Hainan!!! The town that is famous for Chicken Rice!)
Four Countries I have been to on vacation:
  1. Singapore: My first time going over the border by myself
  2. Thailand: Used to go there with my mum when I was a kid. I rode Elaine there, we rented a motorbike and ride over, just to have some Thai fried rice, which was really great. She misses it till today :)
  3. Hongkong: Went there a couple of times and twice with Elaine's family.
  4. USA (East Coast): The best experience we have was renting a car and driving from Cincinati, OH to Boston, MA then Manhattan, NY. Can you imagine that we were staying in Brooklyn, NY and was preparing to take the subway to go up the twin towers when 9-11 happened!!!!
Four places I would rather be right now:
Not I am in the restaurant sitting in front of my laptop with many more side works waiting to be done:
  1. Spending time with Elaine and Keith at home.
  2. Going back to the nice motel we stayed at Syracuse, NY.
  3. Back in Penang having some chatty hours with my buddies, of course Elaine got to be there to chat with their wives too :D
  4. Going back to college, I wish to further in my education!
I dun think I wanna pass this since I did this after such an extended period!

Non winner of the Got 5 (Sept)

I have posted earlier that we have got another chance of winning 2 LCD TVs in MBf Got 5 Again??!!!!!, winning it would be my second unit and Elaine BIL's first.
Sadly it is rather disappointing to all of us, despite getting their third 5 on the 8th which have a very high chance of winning, we didn't manage to be the first 100 to win the 37" LCD TV. (I got my LCD TV when I got my third 5 on the 9th June) I managed to find a backdoor to the result by doing a search at 12am (10 Oct) and the results were only linked up at about 8am (10 Oct)

When I told Elaine of the result, she was rather shocked and kept telling me to stop pulling her legs. I have to show her the actual webpage of the result to convince her. Even her brother (Uncle Jason), her sister (Aunty May) and her husband found it hard to accept the result.

With such big blow, Elaine's BIL would probably even cut(terminate) his card for such a bitter pill! Please understand that I wasn't trying to be greedy to get a second LCD TV. The reason behind all this hoo-hah is because Elaine kept saying that Keith is very "Wong" us so I told her that if he is really that "wong" then probably I would get a second one la :P (I don't want my boy to "wong" me, I just want my boy to "wong" himself)

Keith first swim in the Pool

Yesterday evening Elaine and I took Keith and Nicole for a swim in the evening. Yong Jin didn't get to go despite Elaine asking his mum to go along and spent over half an hour on the phone with his mum! Keith's maternal grandma bought him a swimming trunk and we bought him a baby float. We decided to let him wear a sleeveless shirt because we were afraid that he might catch cold.

Initially we let him try the shallow water and he became rather excited and started walking around the baby pool, using the float as a walker!! Later we usher him to the deeper part of the baby pool where his legs were not touching the bottom. We were very pleased because he seems rather excited and happy. We also have the usual driver, Nicole who would push him around from the back of the float, like she did with the walker.

Although we only made a very brief half an hour tryout in the pool, but we were able to tell that he would love the pool. It started pouring cats and dogs so we rushed back to our unit!

Camwhoring Kids

oWhenever I wanted to take Keith's pictures for a certain reason, like trying on his new clothes, I get to hear Nicole keep saying, "Nicole take picture", "Nicole take picture with Keith Keith", "Keith boy take picture with Nicole" are the normal phrases she uses.
As for Keith, he would be at his best to co-operate with the cameraman, by keeping still and staring at the camera, as soon as he sees the camera pointing at him. In fact it is very hard for me to snap surprise pictures because he will quiet down as soon as he sees the camera. I have to carry my PNS camera with me in my pouch all the time because only then I can take those surprise moments down at one go because it is very hard for take two.

In my opinion they both just liked to have their pictures taken. I guess they might grow up to be a camwhores anyway, or is it just me :-P

Look how "piggie" Nicole looked by blowing up her cheeks and what a "monkey" Keith is, struggling to pose before his mummy could finish dressing him up. Now I wonder if they have got the Chinese Zodiac mixed up because Nicole is supposed to be the monkey and Keith is supposed to be piggie

Mimpi Negri tentang "tigapi" dll

Keith fond of Nicole's cheer

Despite being a rather hard to handle toddler and most of the time she was rather rough whenever lays her hands on Keith. But we have always known that Nicole has always been able to make Keith smile and laugh at the slightest cheer or call. Whenever we go out while I was carrying him, he would keep staring to the ground, looking to see where Nicole is.

Like he was crying for us adults to carry him. A call from Nicole would easily distract him from crying further

Even when he was sick, she didn't fail to cheer him up

Whenever Nicole got scolding from Grandma or me, Keith would keep staring at us, as though he wanted to stand up for Nicole :P

He have always liked to have kids around him and he seems very happy whenever he have company.

It is very disturbing for all of us, especially grandma, because Nicole would be leaving us next week. She'll be going back to Penang to stay with her dad. At least going back there she could attend those education training classes, as her dad had promised. And no matter what happens she can always come back to us ;-)

How should we wear his cap?

Last week Elaine and I took Keith to a supermarket and we found a rather cute cap. But we could not agree on how to wear the cap. Elaine insisted in wearing the cap the visor in front, but I am of the opinion that the angle of the visor was a little too low so I think it would look better if it is worn with the visor on the back.

In the end, we did not end up buying the cap but one thing that both of us can agree on is that the cap is really cute, indeed. It features a cat (on the front) fishing a fish (on the back)

Which would you like this cap to be worn? The left or the right picture?

Look how he stuffed his 2 fingers in his mouth. This is becoming his normal behavior and this is the same case with everything he is able to grab hold of too.

"Sei Ngan Mui" 四眼妹 !!!

The other day Elaine wanted to watch some movies but the subtitles were a little too small for her and she told me to look for her short-sighted glasses for her. Those glasses were gathering dust inside the glove compartment of my car because Elaine rarely used them and the last time she used them were close 2 years ago. Sure la don't use much because her correction is only 100+ only ma :P

Then someone whom was going along with me wanted to see what's inside the glasses box, so I opened it and she wanted to try it on.

I do realise that almost all of my relatives were wearing glasses. On Elaine's side, it is only Aunty May whom doesn't need glasses. That pretty much says for Keith's possibility :(

Lately we were rather busy in the restaurant so I am not able to do much updates. I have always wanted to do those automatic posts, which will automatically post the earlier prepared post at a specific time, but blogspot is not able to support it so I have to do "on the spot" posts lo. I have tried saving it as a draft but normally getting online to publish the post is also a problem. Any ideas/suggestions anyone?
